Daniel’s salvation testimony and call to missionary service:
As a young boy, I trusted Christ as my personal Savior during a Sunday night service at Forrest Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. Later our family moved to Belmont Baptist Church in Conyers, GA where I surrendered to God’s call into the ministry at age twelve. During a missions meeting at my home church, a missionary to Romania presented the great need for missionaries around the world and God called me to be a missionary to Eastern Europe. After graduating from high school, the Lord led me to attend Pensacola Christian College to study missions and youth ministries. During a summer mission internship in Moldova in 2000, God confirmed in my heart the call to missions and gave me a great burden for the people of Moldova. After graduation from PCC, Emily and I were married and then I served as a Youth Pastor and Minister of Music in a local church to continue to prepare for missionary service.
Emily’s salvation testimony and call to missionary service:
I trusted Christ as my personal Savior at age four while talking with my mother after breakfast one morning. When I was eight years old, my parents surrendered to go to Belgium as missionaries. I had the privilege to grow up in Belgium where my parents and grandparents were serving as missionaries. In high school, while at a Christian Camp in Switzerland, I surrendered my life to the Lord and to the ministry. After high school, I attended a Bible Institute in Germany for a year and soon after knew God’s call on my life to be a missionary. God then allowed me to attended Pensacola Christian College to study missions and education in preparation for missionary service. Daniel and I met at PCC and were married after graduation.
In 2002 we answered God’s call to be missionaries to Moldova, began raising support and finished missionary training. During our first term which began in April 2004, God allowed us to learn the Moldavian (Romanian) language, work with a struggling village church and work in a large evangelistic camp ministry. Since 2007, our primary work is focused on planting churches, mostly focused on Maranatha Baptist Church in the city of Hincesti, Moldova. Each year we have seen the church grow with new believers, baptisms, Sunday school, youth ministry, adult Bible study groups and gospel outreach. God has provided the funds and together with the men of the church providing the labor, we have finished the building from zero to 100 percent completion in June of 2022. After more than 20 years of service our missionary vision and purpose remains the same, to faithfully serve God in Moldova by: 1. Evangelism 2. Discipleship of new believers 3. Planting churches 4. Training national leaders.
